Norm Lieu is a Director at Conway MacKenzie and brings over 15 years of experience as a restructuring advisor, secured lender and leveraged finance banker.
Mr. Lieu has represented lenders and equity holders in a variety of workout and restructuring situations spanning the business services, consumer, education, industrial and healthcare sectors. At Conway MacKenzie, he provides financial advisory, capital raising and restructuring services, including financial modeling, business plan development, due diligence and valuation analysis. Mr. Lieu is a member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Mr. Lieu was an investment professional at a New York-based, lower-middle market debt fund, where he performed underwriting and portfolio management for both healthy and distressed investments, including Chapter 11 and 363 asset purchase transactions. He has also previously served as a restructuring advisor at CDG Group, performing diligence and monitoring distressed leveraged loan investments on behalf of lending groups. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lieu was an investment banker at Bear Stearns & Co., arranging over $2.6 billion of leveraged loans and high yield bonds to support LBOs and dividend recapitalizations in the industrial, consumer, healthcare and business services sectors.
