Justin McCarty is a Managing Director in our Transaction Services practice. Mr. McCarty provides financial consulting, transaction advisory services and interim financial management services to a variety of clients, including private equity funds, mezzanine and senior lenders, as well as family offices.

With over 15 years of experience in a range of industries including food, chemical and industrial manufacturing, automotive, healthcare and technology, he guides his clients through acquisition or divesting non-strategic assets to achieve their financial goals. Mr. McCarty has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, financial analysis, public accounting, and internal and external audits. His areas of expertise include analysis of financial statements, managing mergers & acquisitions teams, identifying strengths and risks inherent in deals and communicating these findings effectively, while providing commentary on valuation models and purchase agreements.

Mr. McCarty recently served as interim director of financial planning & analysis (~1 year) for a private equity purchased carve-out of a leading specialty processor and polisher of stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel alloys with four processing locations across the United States. This role included (amongst numerous other responsibilities) mining and synthesizing poor quality financial data in order to model and present strategic options to the CFO, CEO and board of directors. Mr. McCarty is a Certified Public Accountant.

Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Mr. McCarty was Director of Transaction Advisory Services at Riveron Consulting where he supervised teams in areas of financial and accounting buy- and sell-side due-diligence. Mr. McCarty also assisted executive-level clients in the early identification of transaction issues, evaluation of post-acquisition opportunities, the sustainability of earnings and price negotiations.

Prior to Riveron Consulting, he was a Manager of Transaction Services Financial Due Diligence at PwC where he was responsible for financial consultation to domestic/foreign corporate and private equity clients related to acquisitions and divestitures.
