Amel Hammad has almost 20 years of experience in finance, accounting and strategy. Ms. Hammad specializes in developing financial, operational and strategic solutions for troubled companies, lenders and equity sponsors in distressed and non-distressed situations concentrating on analyzing current financial environments and leveraging overall business intelligence to develop and implement strategies to minimize financial risk and strengthen organizations’ financial standing.
Ms. Hammad possesses experience in operational turnarounds, bankruptcy and liquidation advisory, performance improvement, mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and reporting, financial modeling and analysis, treasury and cash management, operational performance drivers, strategy and execution, and regulatory compliance. Her industry experience includes health care, mining and minerals, marine shipping, real estate, education, and manufacturing.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Ms. Hammad was a Senior Director in the Corporate Finance and Restructuring Group at FTI Consulting Inc. based in Denver, focused on developing strategic business and turnaround plans, implementing cash flow forecasting and cash preservation programs, evaluating operational performance and improvement opportunities, and assessing debt capacity and recapitalization alternatives. Prior to FTI, she held positions as a Valuation Consultant at Intrinsic Valuation and Director of Strategic and Special Projects for Professional Case Management, both based in Denver. She also spent seven years at Alvarez and Marsal as a Director with the healthcare turnaround and restructuring practice based in New York where she led engagement teams and played an role in training and development of team members and two years at Cohn Resnick in the business investigative service practice focused on healthcare.
