Paul Share Named as 2016 Emerging Leaders Award Winner

ATLANTA (May 30, 2016) – Paul Share has been named a winner for The Annual M&A Advisor Emerging Leaders Awards. He will be recognized at the annual black tie awards gala in June, which will celebrate the achievements of young mergers and acquisition (M&A), financing and turnaround professionals who have reached a significant level of success and made notable contributions to their industry and community. Share is a managing director of Conway MacKenzie Inc., a financial advisory firm, and is based out of its Atlanta regional office.

Established by The M&A Advisor in 2010 as the 40 Under 40 Awards in the United States, this recognition awards program was created to promote mentorship and professional development amongst the emerging leaders.

“What an honor it is to be chosen as an emerging leader,” stated Share. “I appreciate the opportunities I have had to work with various industry professionals — both inside and outside the firm — in challenging situations that allow me to grow as a professional and gain further expertise.”

Share’s interim management, turnaround, crisis management, bankruptcy and restructuring expertise spans a variety of industries. Further expertise includes working with senior management, secured lenders, unsecured creditors and equity owners to develop and implement operational and financial restructuring strategies to improve performance, increase liquidity, and maximize recovery value.

“What a pleasure it is to see Paul recognized for his hard work and dedication to the firm, to our clients and within the industry,” said Greg Charleston, senior managing director at Conway MacKenzie and leader of the Atlanta regional office. “Paul has become a leader and a shareholder within Conway MacKenzie which gives me great confidence that this firm will continue its pattern of consistent excellence for many years.”

Share was also recognized last month by Turnarounds & Workouts, a monthly news source for people tracking distressed businesses. He was chosen as one of ten People to Watch 2016: Business Professionals Making Their Mark. Additionally, he was selected by the Warrington College of Business Administration Fisher School of Accounting as a 2016 Outstanding Young Alumni of the University of Florida.

Share is currently advisor to a leading global private equity investment firm with $19 billion of capital under management. He directly assists with its portfolio companies through interim management roles. Previous engagements include serving as chief financial officer for TestAmerica, vice president of finance for Trinity Services Group, Inc. and supporting the treasurer for RG Steel during its operational wind down.

An active member of the turnaround community, Share enjoys serving as one of the founding members in the Atlanta Turnaround Management Association nextGen group and is active with the Atlanta Commercial Finance Association. He has published articles in leading industry publications and speaks at events on general corporate renewal matters.

Share received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accounting from the Fisher School of Accounting at The University of Florida through a challenging joint degree program. He is an active Certified Public Accountant, Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is also a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
