Michael Hausman is a Managing Director and Shareholder at Conway MacKenzie, Inc. where he provides crisis management and turnaround consulting services to distressed clients.
Mr. Hausman has experience in a variety of industries and has completed engagements in the automotive, aerospace, healthcare, food, retail and municipal government industries and he is a member of the firms Healthcare Advisory Services group. Mr. Hausman has performed turnaround and restructuring services for nearly 20 years in various capacities for clients primarily in the middle-market and large corporate markets.
Mr. Hausman is a Certified Turnaround Professional and holds memberships in the Turnaround Management Association and American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Hausman is also past President and a current Board of Director member for the Detroit Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association.
His primary areas of expertise include advising on financial and operational restructuring strategies; business plan and financial projections; cash flow management and financial restructuring and refinancing. Mr. Hausman has assisted his clients in numerous ways, ranging from financial advisor to interim management and has successfully completed engagements both in out-of-court and Chapter 11 restructurings. His experience includes recent engagements as CFO of Stant Corporation, a $335 million automotive suppler, providing operational restructuring services to the City of Detroit in its landmark Chapter 9 case and completing due-diligence and consolidation analysis of two major Detroit area healthcare institutions
His career as a turnaround professional includes positions at Alvarez & Marsal and prior to joining Conway MacKenzie in 1996, Mr. Hausman was involved in asset based lending for a major Detroit based financial institution.
