Donald Harer has over twenty years of experience serving in various advisory and interim/crisis management capacities.
His expertise includes: financial and operational restructuring strategies; business plans and related financial projections; cost cutting and revenue enhancement strategies; liquidity management; asset valuations; structuring and raising of debtor-in-possession (DIP) and other financing; supporting companies through Chapter 11 proceedings; and asset dispositions and wind-downs. Mr. Harer’s industry experience includes consumer products, gaming and hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications.
As an advisor and interim manager, Mr. Harer has helped clients to devise and implement exit strategies; analyze and develop complex financial and cash flow models; manage operations; undertake enterprise and asset valuations; and negotiate the sale of underperforming assets. Additionally, Mr. Harer has testified on matters of business sustainability, cash collateral and diminution in value in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware. Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, with concentrations in Corporate Finance and Strategic Management.
Prior to joining Conway MacKenzie, Mr. Harer was Executive Director of Restructuring at Capstone Advisory Group where he specialized in working with creditors, boards, and management teams of troubled company and bankruptcy situations. Prior to Capstone, he worked in Europe focusing on distressed and cross-border insolvency matters in the United Kingdom and Germany.
