Steve Wybo: Delphi to spin off powertrain division into separate $4.5 billion public company – Crain’s Detroit Business
Crain’s Detroit Business features Steve Wybo in its article titled “Delphi to spin off powertrain division into separate $4.5 billion public company.”
Steven Wybo, senior managing director of Birmingham-based advisory and turnaround firm Conway MacKenzie Inc., said the move is designed to boost Delphi’s ability to draw investment and please Wall Street.
“I think this is a good move, as Wall Street likes to punish auto stocks and reward tech stocks; Tesla is a prime example,” Wybo said.
The public powertrain business, which will have about $4.5 billion in annual revenue, will likely become an attractive M&A target in the near future, Wybo said.
